Update 1.1: Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai x Ninja Slayer

Up a level: Update 1

This update is rather short, hence the 1.1. I mentioned the marble effects previously and today I had a chance to make a 2nd attempt.

Figured I'll have this wall of text for last! So, I'm not even sure where to begin haha.

First, it took me awhile to remove the old paint & primer from those few pieces from the previous post and soaking them in thinner didn't really help. I just ended up sanding with 120, 400, 600 then 1000 grits. Wish I had documented but, I don't think it is that interesting anyway.

This time around I knew exactly how I wanted the marbling effect to look and I kept a small cup of water nearby so I could dip and wipe the paint off immediately if it turned out ugly. 

Also, I found a better way to create the marble effect with much more ease than how I was doing it before. Previously, I was mixing both the white and red to create the effect then, dipping the piece in. 

On this attempt I would place a drop of each color next to each other, swipe a cotton bud between them, dab one face of the piece into the paint once or twice, dab it the plastic wrap to remove some excess, and repeat for each face.
